# Citewake

> Citewake is the index of what AI recommends. On a fixed monthly schedule it asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity the questions buyers ask, keeps every answer, and measures which brands they recommend, which brands' own sites they cite, and which cited sources list which brands. The first index publishes in early 2027; the method is public now.

Citewake is made by the team behind aipozi. It is pre-launch: no results are published yet, and the site shows no scores or rankings.

## How it works
- Fixed, versioned benchmarks: 120 scored questions per category in three tiers (head, mid, tail), written in the first person and never naming a brand.
- Each AI answers through its official API with its own live web search. The search is never shared or substituted.
- One judge, the grand master (Claude Opus 5.5), reads all four AIs' answers to a question side by side and classifies every brand as recommended, neutral mention or negative. Brands are kept only when their words appear verbatim.
- Every answer, citation and cited-page snapshot is kept, so any published number can be recomputed.

## The measures (method v0.2)
- Recommendation Rate: valid answers that positively recommend the brand, divided by valid answers in the benchmark.
- Own-site Citation Rate: valid answers that cite a URL on the brand's own domains, divided by valid answers in the benchmark.
- Cited-page Presence: cited third-party pages, in their fetched copy, that list the brand positively, divided by usable cited third-party pages in the benchmark.
- Every rate is shown per AI, per tier and overall, with a 90% interval from a cluster bootstrap over questions.
- No combined 0-100 score is published yet.

## Principles
- No paid inclusion; brands enter only through evidence.
- Public, versioned method; changes are dated in the changelog.
- Corrections are added beside the original, never written over.
